How does it feel to be buzzed
The First Sip is when you know it is go time. When that first drop of delicious alcohol hits your tongue, your mind and body are taken to another place. You are ready to get weird. The Buzz is the feeling you get when the alcohol hits you.
Your whole body feels warm and cozy and you feel like you are one giant vibrating being. Everything becomes twenty times as exciting as it was a half hour ago: music sounds better , everyone becomes more attractive, and conversations feel more and more important as they become significantly louder.
This is the point in the night where conversations reach their peak volume. Suddenly everybody in the bar is your new best friend and you are dying to tell them your life story. This is the time of the night when you hear your favorite song and make sure that everyone in the bar knows that you know all of the lyrics. The dancing does not cease until you catch the eye of the cutie over at the bar at which point you reach stage number 5.
In fact, everyone in the entire freaking bar is suddenly beautiful. With a bit of liquid courage, you head over to meet your fate. Whether or not you get lucky… well that is up to you and your wonderful drunken pick up lines. You do not care if your buddy has got work in the morning or if your sister has to get home to the babysitter — NO!
This is going to be the best night ever! If someone has too much alcohol in their system, it can cause serious issues like dehydration, vomiting, injuries, seizures, etc. The more you drink and for a longer time period, the stronger the effects will get. Some people might not feel drunk after drinking 8 shots, while others start stumbling after a few drinks. These are just a fraction of the things to keep in mind when going out for a night of drinking. When you understand where your personal limit falls between being drunk and buzzed, you know when to stop and keep the night going smoothly.
To prevent getting drunk, stay hydrated. And remember, while being drunk and buzzed is slightly different, there is a fine line that can turn a great night into a terrible one. You may also pass out or lose control of your bodily functions.
You may have seizures and blue-tinged or pale skin. This can be dangerous — even fatal — if you choke on your vomit or become critically injured. These are signs that you need immediate medical attention. Your body functions will slow so much that you will fall into a coma, putting you at risk of death. Emergency medical attention is critical at this stage. Many Americans drink and get drunk.
While some find it fun to get a buzz from drinking alcohol from time to time, consuming too much of it can be downright dangerous. It helps to be familiar with the signs of being drunk so you know what to expect, when to stop it, and when to get help.
